1 Fence
Fences are blocks in Minecraft that all of you have probably used at least once. Fences were added in Minecraft alpha in 2010 and are currently crafted with four wooden planks and two sticks but did you guys know from alpha release 1.7 the fence was originally crafted with six sticks which was a little bit more simple it wasn't until version 1.8 in 2014 where the fence was changed to the one we have today.
2 Boats
These are transport item that are used to help players travel quickly across water and they're also used to trap zombie villagers to turn them into villagers. Anyway boats were added in Minecraft alpha in 2010 and they have anyways been crafted with five wooden planks or have they do during the snapshot phase of the liq combat update. The boat's crafting recipe was changed to be crafted with five wooden planks and one wooden shovel. However this change didn't last too long as in a later 1.9 snapshot the crafting recipe was changed back to the original. With that said bedrock edition still uses this crafting recipe to this day which is pretty cool.
3 Anvil
Anvil is a block that allows players to repair items, rename items and they can also used to kill your friends but that's a bit mean. Anyway anvil were added in version 1.4 in 2012 and are currently crafted with three iron blocks and four iron ingots. However when the anvil was first added it was crafted with six iron blocks and one iron ingots so it was a lot more expensive on iron so I'm kind glad that they changed it.
4 Arrows
We see them at least once in our Minecraft World whether it's killing creepers with a bow or being killed by a aimbot skeleton. Now the arrow was added in the Minecraft survival test in 2009 and is currently crafted with one feather, One stick and one Flint. However back in the earlier days of Minecraft in the Dev phase of the game arrows were instead crafted with one feather, One stick and one iron ingot. It wasn't until Minecraft alpha where the arrows crafting recipe was changed to the one we have today.
5 Enchanted Golden Apple
It is a rare uncraftable variant of the golden apple that can only be found in generated structure such as dessert temple, ruined portal chest and much more. However before the 1.9 combat update this overpowered golden apple could be crafted with eight gold blocks and one apple but when 1.9 was released Mojang was like nope this things way too overpowered and removed it's crafting recipe.
6 Painting
There's many cool design that come in lots of different sizes but my favorite is the creeper face one and what's yours. Now the painting was added in Minecraft in Dev in early 2010 and is currently crafted with eight sticks and one wall. However when the painting was first added it was instead crafted with eight wooden planks and one wool. Which crafting recipe makes more sense to you let me know in the comments.
